The summer varient of Thierry Mugler's Angel, named Angel Sunessence Legere, arrived on the market in March 2009, in pair with a summer edition of sunny Alien named Alien Sunessence Legere.

The new Angel Sunessence Legere is created of softened and lighter notes of the original fragrance, which include bergamot, hibiscus, honey, blackberry, red berries, caramel, chocolate, patchouli, vanilla, hedione, helional and coumarin.
